Description:

Wade Wilson was a Canadian soldier dying from systemic cancer. In a desperate effort to save his own life, he volunteered for the experimental Weapon X program. The program gave him a healing factor on par with Wolverine’s but left him hideously deformed as well as utterly insane. Now known as Deadpool, Wade rarely takes off his black-and-red costume. He revels in violence and loves making quips as he ruthlessly carves through his foes.

Bio:

Deadpool is a product of the same Weapon X program that created Wolverine but was rejected after killing his partner. Deadpool was instead sent to a facility where he was tortured and left for dead by the doctor in charge. He got better.

Wilson switches allegiances frequently, even in the middle of a fight. He also talks constantly, cracking jokes and making odd references. He frequently talks to an unseen “audience” as though he’s a fictional character. Underneath this behavior is a deeply scarred man unsure of what is real and what is an elaborate delusion caused by his superhuman abilities.
